A Day in the Life at M2

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Specialist who will perform a broad range of communicative and content management tasks. This position requires excellent organizational skills, high-energy, positive communication skills, and extreme attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead communications strategies and crafting messaging for target audiences
  • Manage the documentation lifecycle, including review, revision, and update of existing materials
  • Tracking/managing/scheduling communications products to execute a successful communications strategy
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to best practices in technical writing
  • Write and post content for the web in a content management system (i.e., Drupal)
  • Proactively work with internal teams to create, manage, and maintain content
  • Organize content across multiple web pages in a logical and coherent manner with a cohesive flow for readers
  • Find, diagnose, and fix content issues, including broken links, typographical errors, and formatting inconsistencies
  • Support overall communication plans and initiatives
  • Assist in the development and implementation of documentation style guides and templates

Basic Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BA or BS Degree with 6 years of relevant expertise
  • Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an ability to grasp and articulate concepts succinctly
  • Superb oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. (Google Suite, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel)
  • Proven writing and editing skills in plain language and creating compelling content
  • Experience with web content management systems and web analytics tools
  • Highly driven and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task, coordinate shifting priorities, and meet short deadlines
  • Team-oriented and ability to work independently

Physical Qualification(s) Required:

  • Work is performed in an office environment.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
  • Responsible for adhering to all established safety standards.
