Compassionate leader at the helm of M2’s charge to think differently and create federal transformation.
Willow Marr is M2’s Chief Executive Officer. Since co-founding the firm when she was 28, she has always believed in the need to think differently to design and implement effective Federal organizations. She has over 20 years of expertise studying and designing organizations, governance models, and ways to inspire and motivate the Federal workforce. Her efforts have been instrumental in developing and maturing M2’s service offerings resulting in the firm nearly doubling revenue the last three years.
She is a compassionate and authentic leader who believes in equality and focuses on maintaining a M2 culture of inclusiveness and diversity. Because of her drive to think differently, M2’s operations are agile, cloud-based, and were prepared to thrive in our current virtual world. Her focus remains getting M2 and its employees safely through the COVID pandemic, continuing to serve clients in this virtual environment, and having the M2 brand remain synonymous with Excellence. Recently M2 was recognized by the government contracting industry’s SECAF Award of Excellence.
Prior to joining M2, Willow served as an environmental lawyer and worked at the Department of Energy (DOE) as a Policy Advisor helping to develop the long-term surveillance and maintenance plans for remediated nuclear waste sites. She was instrumental in the design and establishment of DOE’s Office of Legacy Management. She is sought out by clients and industry for her thought leadership and unique ideas on federal transformations, modernizations, and ways to gain efficiencies.
She spearheaded the development of M2’s Corporate Social Responsibility program and is dedicated to M2’s and her own personal social impact. She leads the firm in pro-bono consulting hours and serves on the Board of Directors for Second Story, a VA-based organization that is helping at risk youth. She was recognized as one of our nations Enterprising Women of the Year in 2017 and has recieved many accolades for her involvement in the community including being recognized by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce for its Corporate Citizen Award.
Willow holds a B.A. in Political Science from American University and a Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. She is bar-certified in California and the District of Columbia.
