About Sarah
Sarah Dunsford is a Managing Director at M2. She is driven by the goal of building a collaborative work environment and mentoring her teams to deliver dynamic and innovative solutions that modernize and transform M2’s clients. She has 20+ years of scientific, strategy, and management expertise. She joined M2 after 14 years of service in NOAA’s Commissioned Officer Corps rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. In addition to her ecology and marine science expertise, she is an expert in the areas of portfolio and budget management, organizational health assessments, strategic planning, communications, change management, and human capital and workforce planning.
She is passionate about M2’s Mentorship, Advancement, and Performance (MAP) program and enjoys mentoring and teaching junior M2 consultants about the firm’s unique ways of thinking differently to help transform clients. Sarah lives by M2’s four core values and Paying It Forward is a priority in her life. She is an avid supporter of charities such as the Red Cross, Feeding America, and No Kid Hungry which are helping save lives through cancer treatments and addressing hunger in the U.S.
Education
Sarah is a double major alumna of the Florida Institute of Technology in Ecology and Marine Biology. Her sincere love of dissecting systems and seeing how they work and can be improved stems from her roots in biological science.
Interesting Facts
In her free time, Sarah caters to her canine companion’s needs or can be found in some stage of a home improvement project. Sarah is thankful for her opportunity to serve her country in the NOAA Corps and to advance NOAA science.
