A global manufacturer of hermetic compressors and condensing units for refrigeration and air conditioning applications. The manufacturer needed an enhanced way to manage projects and resources for various divisions within the company. Each division requires a standard template set to track and manage deadlines and meeting key deliverables. Additionally, the global manufacturer program leads required a way to rollup project information automatically to keep track of active projects’ timelines, budget, risks, and resource utilization.

How Did Smartsheet’s Solutions Solve the Problem?

The manufacturing company worked with Smartsheet Platinum Partner, M2 Strategy, to implement 3 Control Center solutions, provided 3 unique template sets for various divisions within the company. Each blueprint allows the necessary teams the standard templates to manage each project both from a schedule and cost perspective. The team leverages automation, reporting, and dashboard to visualize key metrics at the project level. Program leads can provision projects based on an intake sheet for each program. As projects are provisions, key metrics, progress, and deliverable information are rolled together automatically and visualized on the portfolio level dashboard. They also integrated Resource Management to each blueprint providing allocation data across all projects. As a result, the manufacturing company has been able to provision 600 projects in Control Center.
