M2 Strategy is pleased to announce that it was awarded a contract to support the National Weather Service (NWS) IT Infrastructure Ground Readiness Project (GRP).  M2 Strategy will provide Program Management Office support for the NWS IT Infrastructure Ground Readiness effort.  M2 Strategy’s Program Management Support includes spear-heading efforts to establish a matrix management structure for GRP and assisting senior managers in the reporting and management of the project including Budget Management, Schedule Management, Risk Management as well as communications and outreach support.

In 2011, the NWS released the Weather-Ready Nation: NOAA’s National Weather Service Strategic Plan; a key element of the Plan is to ensure the timely dissemination of valuable NWS data and information that is critical due to the growing vulnerability of the nation to extreme weather. The NWS’ current IT services and infrastructure cannot accommodate the dissemination of this increased volume of data and GRP will be instrumental in the implementation of the organization’s required IT infrastructure upgrades.

M2 Strategy is proud to be supporting the mission and vision of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Weather Service.
