A Day in the Life at M2

M2 Strategy is seeking a highly motivated Human Resource (HR) Manager to join our growing firm. In this role, you will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the HR-related policies, activities, and employees of the Firm; ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy. Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Designing and implementing performance management tools and frameworks to further support M2’s annual review process and mentoring program
  • Provide individual employee coaching and guidance based on a strong understanding of a person’s interests, aspirations and knowledge of our business
  • Manage benefits for employees
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department
  • Responsible for employee well-being, HR and labor compliance
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy
  • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment and payroll laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Process improvement and streamlining business operations
  • Ability to research tasks across a broad range of human capital, or human resource topics
  • Developing research plans and designs (e.g., questionnaires and surveys)
  • Interpreting data to understand business implications of the research
  • Writing reports and presenting to the Firm in a way that is professional and influential

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA or BS Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience
  • SHRM certification
  • Proven experience in a human resources or human capital environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Advanced understanding of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in talking about strategic HR-related topics – you combine a drive for analytical reasoning with a practical understanding of what our Firm is trying to achieve
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Ability to think strategically, analytically, and proactively about diverse business solutions
  • Experience in creating and delivering presentations for senior-level staff.

Operating Status:

M2 eligible employees are currently authorized to work remotely but will be moving towards a hybrid plan this year, which will require working both in the office and remotely. All vaccinated M2 employees who wish to work from the office can do so. M2 Strategy policies on masks and other pandemic mitigation measures will continue to be informed by DC and CDC guidelines.

Vaccine Policy:
