A Day in the Life at M2

M2 Strategy is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our growing firm and support the company’s business development efforts in our Federal and Commercial practice areas. This position reports directly to the executive team and responsibilities will include identifying opportunities, assisting in developing capture strategies and managing/writing proposals.

Note: This is a full-time salaried position. A majority of the work can be performed remotely, however, the candidate must be local to the Washington, DC area due to ad-hoc meetings that might be required with Government clients. Responsibilities:

  • Identify and win new business opportunities to support the company’s core capabilities
  • Be able to manage the end-to-end capture and proposal process to include identifying opportunities, responding to RFI’s and writing proposals
  • Prepare and deliver effective presentations to customers and internal management
  • Develop and maintain personal relationships with government and industry customers at all levels; establish a presence in industry events and develop relationships with industry partners
  • Provide weekly reports on business development status and monthly reporting of business metrics to ensure a new business pipeline is maintained
  • Overall, this person needs the ability to “get the job done” with minimal supervision and will have the full support of the senior executive team

Basic Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Four plus years support business development activities for Federal Government clients
  • Experience working in GovWin and Beta.SAM.gov
  • Excellent communicator with ability to work with teaming partners
  • Superior writing skills with ability to take content from winning proposals and tailor for future proposals
  • The successful candidate must be familiar with the complex rules and regulations that drive the federal government capture process
  • Must possess proven leadership qualities with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Bachelor’s degree

Physical Qualification(s) Required:

  • Work is performed in an office environment
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Responsible for adhering to all established safety standards
